Birding by Water

Boats can be hired for guided mangrove estuary or coastal birding. If you are interested in the exotic birds and aquatic animals and big crocodiles, living in the mangrove zone, we recommend the San Cristobal Estuary trip, or taking a naturalist with you to the La Tovara National Park.

Guide Jose Ortiz and Naturalist Guide Manuel Lomeli explain the life in the mangrove estuary habitat.
